Rev. LeCounte P. Nedab II

The Rev. LeCounte Nedab II is the Senior Pastor of White Hill A.M.E. Zion Church, a faithful and welcoming congregation of believers in York, South Carolina. Born and raised in Berlin, Maryland, Rev. Nedab is the son of LeCounte Nedab Sr. and the late Alfreda Nedab. He is an ordained Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church and previously pastored New Diggs A.M.E. Zion Church in Rockingham, North Carolina (West Central North Carolina Conference) and St. James A.M.E. Zion Church in Massillon, Ohio (Ohio Conference).

 

Rev. Nedab is a proud graduate of Zion’s flagship institutions, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Livingstone College and a Master of Divinity degree from Hood Theological Seminary. While at Livingstone, he joined the Gamma Mu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and he later became an active member of both the Livingstone College Alumni Association and Hood Theological Seminary Alumni Association.

 

As an advocate for social justice, education, and community development, Rev. Nedab has volunteered with numerous nonprofit organizations and educational institutions, including United Way, Urban League, and the NAACP. He previously served as a Governing Board Member of the Ohio Council of Churches. Within Zion, he actively served on the YACM Steering Committee as the Central Regional Vice Chairperson. In the Ohio Annual Conference, he held roles as Statistician, Conference Studies Instructor, and Conference Treasurer. He was also inducted into the Livingstone College Alumni Association’s Forty Under 40 (Beta Cohort).

 

Though still a young man, he is a faithful believer in the words, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil. 4:13). He is married to Mrs. Shimeca M. Nedab, and they are blessed with two children: a son, Chandler Avery, and a daughter, Lira Alfreda. In his spare time, Rev. Nedab enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family.
